Christiana is a healing arts facilitator and songwriter raised between East Hampton, New York and Porches, Portugal to a German and Irish/American family.
The roots of her learnings are planted in the forests, fields and oceans of her homelands and have grown into the world of global animistic understandings and life ways. She holds a deep passion for creativity through movement, sound, song, theater and the way art can us remember our truest self. Through her travels and studies, ceremony, herbalism and women’s wellbeing have become a central focus or her life.
Today, through the support of her community, she shares that which has helped her most on her journey. Christiana carries the teachings gained through navigating complex trauma and physical illness. Because of this she offers a grounded perspective to recovery having gathered her learnings from embodied experience.
15 years of student-ship and work experience in the healing arts support the vision of Animate Healing. In 2018, after five years of community based offerings, she spent four years creating and then leading healing arts programs at Shou Sugi Ban House, a multifaceted wellness retreat in New York where she still occasionally holds immersions.
She is the co-founder of Alchemy of Clarity a ceremonial psilocybin retreat. She also supports and leads other retreats through Animate Healing, works with people one-on-one and is continuing her path as a student. She holds training in: movement arts, tantra & yoga, sound/music, meditation, herbalism, ceremony, birth arts & postpartum care and women’s health.
